Memorandum it is this 4th: day of Sepr. 1759 Agree between the Master and
Wardens Comonalty of the Worshipful Company of Carpenters London of the One part and
Samuel Tongue< no role > of Winchester Street Gentleman of the Other part in manner following (that is
to say) The said Company Do hereby Agree to Lett to the sd. Saml Tongue< no role > All that Messes
in Tenement with the Appurts there to belonging situate in Carpenter Buildings late in the
Possion of Mr. Boxley To hold to the sd. [..] Tongue his Exters admore & Assigns from
[..] Michaelmas next Ensuing the date hereof for and during and unto the full
End and Term of three Years from thence next Ensuing & fully to be Compleat & Ended
at and under the Yearly Rent of Sixteen pounds payable Quarterly the first payment to
to made on the Feast of the Birth of Our Lord Xt. next Ensuing the date hereof, the
House Door to be Permited & One or two Cielings White washed at the Company's Expence
And the said Samuel Tongue< no role > doth hereby agree to take the sd. Premises upon the above
mentioned Terms and Conditions and will pay the said Rent of Sixteen pounds
accordingly and in Confirmation there of the said Saml. Tongue< no role > paid Mr. Warden
Jupp Ten Shilling's and Six Pence in part of the first Quarters Rent Witness his hand
the Day and Year above mentioned
