Committee
Upon viewing the Prisoners the Committee found that George
Smith< no role >
who was committed on the 17th. to be passed with four
Infant Children was in very great Distress and was to travel as
far as Haverford west which was his parish.
Resolved that the Steward be authorized to give him Two Gin [..]
towards the expences of their Journey
Resolved that Mr. Gozna be desired to attend the Children as
long as they continue in this House as they appear to be very
much indisposed.
The Superintendant of the Prisoners having informed the Committee
that he found a very great difficulty in procuring Hemp for the Prisoners
beat and that he was of Opinion it would answer very well if the Prisoners
were to be employed in Spinning Hemp and weaving it into Sacking
Resolved that the Steward do purchase 500 weight of Hemp for
the above purpose by way of Trail
