That the Act imposes great additional burthens
on the Parishioners paying Poor Rates already very
heavy in this Parish and with great difficulty [..]
yet it wholly divests the Persons bearing these
Burthens - and eventually to all their further
Increase of the power of judging of the propri [..]
of the application of them, deprives them of the
Liberty of Electing Visitors Guardians and
Managers and transfers those Rights to other
and gives to the numerous district Justices w [..]
will be required to execute the Act new and extend
Powers which gives the present Bill be a very
unpleasant Aspect.

That it contains many Clauses highly objections
concerning itself chiefly about the manual labo [..]
the Poor as productive of profit and omitting as
mention of their moral cultivation and rather
misleads the public Mind by the use of the Terms [..]
Schools and Instruction though no mental
Instruction is provided for the want of which
have occasioned the very evils the Act now prop [..]
to obviate by merely secular means
