"the said Freedom part for one of such two persons to be chosen
"and appointed by the said Vestry

"Resolved unanimously that the Churchwardens of the
"said Freedom part of the said parish be requested forthwith to
"cause a Vestry to be holden in order to receive from the Trustees of
"this Charity their presentment and Recommendation as aforesaid
"and at the same time to proceed to the Choice of a Mistress in
"consequence thereof"

Extracts from the Will of the said Sir John Cass< no role > dated the
Fifth day of July One thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen
and from a Decree in the High Court of Chancery dated the
Thirtieth day of April One thousand Seven hundred and Forty
Eight in a Cause wherein his Majestys Attorney General at the
Relation of Jonathan Buswell< no role > and Richard Sharp< no role > Churchwardens
of the Freedom part of this parish and others by original
Information and Information of Revivor was plaintiff and
Edmund Sawtell< no role > Surviving Executor of Valentine Brewis< no role >
deceased who was the only acting Executor of the said Sir John
Cass deceased and others were Dependants so far as the said
Will and Decree respectively relate to the said Choice were
also read

And then the Vestry proceeded to the said choice of a School
Mistress in consequence of the said presentment and Recommen-
dation and the said Elizabeth Pease< no role > and Elizabeth Hughes< no role >
being severally put up the Election fell on the said Elizabeth
Pease
< no role > and the Churchwardens thereupon declared the said
Elizabeth Pease duly Elected School Mistress Accordingly

Resolved and Ordered that Mr James Fisher< no role > the
Vestry Clerk do on behalf of this Vestry certify to the said Trustees
of Sir John Cass< no role > 's Charity (by delivering to Mr Alderman Clark
a Copy of the Minutes of the proceedings of this Vestry Signed
by him) that this Vestry have chosen and appointed the said
Elizabeth Pease< no role > to be School Mistress of the said Girls School
belonging to the said Sir John Cass< no role > 's Charity
