the Parish of St. Buttolph without Aldgate
London
Gentleman
deceased bearing date
the 30th. of October 1633. remaining in the
Registry of this Court among other things
therein is contained as follows to wit.
Item I do give and grant unto ye. Churchwardens of
the Parish of St. Buttolph
aforesaid and to their
Successors for ever to ye use of ye. Poor of ye. same
Parish and for Four Sermons at ten Shillings a
Sermon to be preached in ye Church Yearly for ever
One Annuity or Yearly Rent charge of ten Pounds of
law full money of England to be Issueing out of all
the said Chappells Mill Messuages and other the
premisses in the said Countyes of York and Bedford
to be paid at the Feasts of the Annunciation of the
blessed Virgin Mary and St. Michael
the Archangel
or within Fourteen days after each of the same
Feasts in every Year by even portions and to be
imployed in buying of Coles for the Poor of the
same Parish to be distributed at the discretion of
the Churchwardens of the said Parish for the time
being and in the said Four Sermons the First paymt.
thereof to begin and be made at such of the same
Feasts as shall next happen after the decease of
