& beat Liberty to Lay a flat Stone not Exeeding
Seven feet in Length and three feet and an half in
in Breadth (being the Dimensions Agreed to for flat
Grave Stones at a former Vestry held for the Whole
Parish on the 10th. day of June 1748
) over his Sons
Grave in the Vault under this Parish Church on his
Paying to the Renter Church Wardens of this Parish
for the use of this Parish the Sum of Ten Guineas
for such Indulgence
Ordered that the Alter Peice of this Parish
Church which now Consists only of Plain Wainscot
be Adorned and Beautified And the Church Wardens
were now desired to Apply to some Able Workman for
a Plan or Sketch of such Adornment which they are
it Lay before a future Vestry together with an
Estimate of the Price for which they Can get the same
Properly Executed
Ordered that the late Renter Church Wardens
Messrs. Woollams and Parkins Accounts for the year
1749 be Audited on the 16th. day of December
next
Ordered that the Vestry Clerk Send a Notice in
Writing to Mr. John Whalley< no role >
that in Case he don't think
Proper forthwith to pay to the Renter Church Wardens
of this Parish for the use of this Parish the Sum of Ten
Guineas (being the Sum Ordered at a former Vestry to
be paid by every Person who should Lay down a flat
Grave Stone in the Chuch Yard adjoining to the
Parish Church) for the Fine of his having laid a
flat Grave Stone over his late Wifes Grave in the Church
Yard that Orders will be given for Breaking into the
Ground and Burying Corpes in the Grave Under his said
Grave Stone, as if no such Stone had been Laid down
Ordered the like Notice be sent to Mrs. Whitehorne to
Pay the Sum of Ten Guineas for her having laid a
flat Grave Stone in the Church Yard ever her late
Husbands Grave there
