Susannah Brown< no role > the wife of John
Brown
< no role > maketh oath that her said husband hath
for a Considerable time [..] absented himself from
her & Still Continues So to do or to Administer any relief
to her for the Support of herself & Children That her sd
husband in the year 1774 lived in & rented a house of the
Yearly Rent of Three Pounds in Swan Yard in the Hamlet
of Ratcliffe in the Parish of St Dunstan Stepney in
in the sd County & during Such his residence therein was
Charged to & Paid Kings Taxes therefore She this Depont
having more than once Paid Such Taxes to the then
Collector thereof Mr Callander Since deced That her
Sd husband herself & Child were in March last by a
Pass order of two Justices removed to the sd Hamlet of
Ratcliffe as the Place of their last legal Settlement at the
instance of the Parish officers of St John Wapping
Middx & Admitted into the Work house there Again St which
order no objection was ever made to this Deponts knowledge
or belief That her sd husband Since his leaving the
Sd house in Swan Yard has has not rented a house of
Ten Pounds a year or Paid any Poors Rates or Kings
Taxes or done any Act to gain a settlement for himself
elsewhere That she hath two Children namely John< no role >
aged about Sixteen Years & Timothy< no role > Aged about three
Years & half the lawful Issue of this Depont. by her sd
husband to whom She was lawfully married neither
of which Children have as yet done any Act to gain
a Settlement for themselves
