maketh oath that her Said husband is now Abroad in the
kings Service in America That She Can give no Account
respecting the Settlement of her Said husband or of his
Parents or either of them Save that her said husband has
informed that he was born in Scotland but the Place Where
he never told her That She this Deponent was born in Saint
Christophers in the West Indies & never did any Act to gain
a Settlement for herself in any place in the Kingdom of
Great Britain nor did her Parents ever do any Act to gain
a Settlement there That She hath a Child named Frances < no role >
aged about four Months the lawful Issue of this Deponent
by her said husband to whom she was lawfully married

told her That She this Depont as She has been informed & believs
was born in Berwick upon Tweed & this Deponts Father Patrick

Barwick upon Tweed for divers Years & was Charged to & Paid
Poors Rates for the Same & Where this Depont lived with him
as Part of his Family & did not afterwards do any Act to gain
a Settlement elsewhere That She this Depont never was an
Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired servant for a year nor
ever did any Act to gain a Settlement Save What She has
acquired by marriage as aforesaid
