deced maketh oath that her Said late husband has informed
& which she believes to be true That his late Father Joseph
Clay
< no role > deced in his life time was duly bound to & Served the whole
of his Apprenticeship with one Gate a Stocking Weaver in
Hogsdon Square in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
in the Said County & by means thereof gained a legal Settlemt
there & that he did not afterwards do any Act to gain anor
Settlement and that this Deponts sd husband never did any
Act to gain a Settlement in his own right That she this
Depont was married to her Said late husband at the Fleet
about Thirty years ago & has not Since his death done any
Act to gain a Settlement in her own right or for herself

in the Sd County Gunmaker & Served Six Years and
half of such his Apprenticeship there & Served the Residue
thereof at Sea on Board a Man of War Where his
Apprenticeship ended & has not Since done any Act
to gain another Settlement & that he hath a wife
named Ann < no role > to whom he was lawfully married.
