Mary Ray< no role > single woman maketh oath that
She was born in the Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate in
the said County & never was bound an Apprentice nor ever
lived in any place as a hired servant for the Space of a year
nor was ever married nor ever did any Act to gain a Settlemt
in her own right That her Father Served his Apprenticeship
in the said parish & never did any Act to her knowledge
or belief to gain a Settlement in any other Parish


Sworn this 6th day
of January 1778 before

Parents deced have informed him & which he believes to
be true that he was born in Sun Yard in the Parish of
St Botolph without Aldgate in the Said County & never
was bound an Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired servant
in any place for the Space of a year nor ever did any Act
to gain a Settlement in his own right and this Deponent
Saith that he Cannot With Certainly Set forth where his
Parents deced were legally Settled at the time of their
respaived deaths but is induced to believe that they were
then Settled in the sd parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate
