The Examination of Alice Storey< no role > This name instance is in set 2181. the
wife of Thomas Storey< no role > late of the Parish of St Botolph
without Aldgate in the Said County Gunsmith taken on
oath before us two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
in & for the Sd County one Where of is of the Quorum and
both residing inthe Limits of the Parish Church
within the Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate aforesd.
in the sd County this Seventh day of January 1777
Who Saith That about ten years & eight months ago
She this Examinant was lawfully married to her Said
husband Thomas Storey< no role > who left this Examinant about
four years & two Months ago & went from London to reside
at Kingston in Jamaica That She this Examinant hath
never Seen him Since nor hath he had any Access to or
Carnal knowledge of her Body Since he left her as
aforesaid nor doth She know or believe nor hath She
ever been informed Whether he hath ever been in any
part of Great Britain or Ireland Since his
departure from her as aforesaid nor doth She
know Whether he is now living or dead That
about nineteen Months ago one James Fleming< no role >
a Butcher who now resides in the Said parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate but who then lodged in the
house of this Examinants Father Adam Beale< no role > in Little
Grays Inn Lane Holborn in the Sd County where this
Examinant also then lived did prevail with this Examt
to Suffer him the Sd James Fleming< no role > to he with her & to
have Carnal knowledge of her Body where by She
Conceived with child of a Male Bastard child of
