Jane Lee< no role > Singlewoman maketh oath That She
well knows a Child named John Codling< no role > aged about eight years
and four months now present with her & which child was born
of the Body of this Deponts. late Sister Elizabeth Cock< no role > widow
in Angel Court in the parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate
in the Said County this Deponent being present at the Birth of
Such Child the Which Child is illegitimate & a Bastard by reason
as this Deponent has been informed by her Said Sister Cock
& believes that She was never Married to one Jonathan< no role >
which Shod alasd was the father of the Said Child
Codling and which Said Child has not done any Act to gain a
Settlement in his own right & is likely to become Chargeable to
the Said parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate .
