Elizabeth Adams< no role > the Widow of James Adams< no role > deced
maketh oath That about eighteen Years ago her said late
Husband was examined respecting his place of Settlement
& then alleged on his oath that he was legally Settled in the
Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the County of
Middlesex by Serving three Years of his apprenticeship there with
a Barber & Perukemaker & that upon such Examination her
said husbands Settlement was then Admitted to be in the said
parish & he & this Depon as his Wife in Consequencs thereof were
admitted into the Workhouse thereof & had relief administered to
them untill such time as her sd late husband was Cured of the
disorder he then laboured under That her sd husband who
died about last Whitsuntide has not Since his leaving the
Work house of the said Parish rented a house of the yearly
Rent or Value of Ten pounds or upwards or Served any Parish
office or paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act
to gain a Subsequent Settlement Nor hath She this Deponent
Since his death done any Act to gain a Settlement for herself
