mariner Maketh oath That She heretofore was lawfully Married
to one George Ord< no role > lately deceases by whom She had two Children
who are Still living Namely Thomas Michael Ord< no role > Aged about
and Sarah Margaret Ord< no role > Aged about
neither of whom have as yet done any
Act to gain a Settlement in his or her own right That Since the
death of her Said late husband Ord She hath been lawfully Married
to her Present husband Webster who is a Scotchman by birth as he
has informed her & who as She verily believes is now at Sea on board
his Majestiesship Salisbury by whom She hath also a Child now
living named John Webster< no role > aged aboutThat
She this Depont. Cannot in any wife Set forth or discover the place
of Settlement of her said late former husband Ord nor whether her
Said Present husband Webster ever did any Act to gain a Settlemt.
in England in his own right or ever derived any Settlement there
But this Depont. Saith That her late Father Richard Hoare< no role >
deced divers Years ago rented a house of the yearly rent or value
of Ten Pounds in the Parish of St. Mary Rotherhithe in the County
of Surry & was also Charged to & paid the Poors Rates for the Same at
which time She this Depont. lived with him as part of his Family & by
means thereof She (as advised) derived a Settlement there from him & She
hath not Since done any Act to gain a Settlement in her own right
Save what She might Acquire by her Marriages as aforsaid and
that her said late Father did not do any Act to gain a Settlement for
himself and Family Subsequent to his living in the Parish of Saint Mary
Rotherhith as aforesd. He upon leaving that Parish went & refered in
parts beyond the Seal.
