Maketh oath that about Twenty seven years ago
her late Father John Birkham< no role > deced & who was by
Trade a Taylor Rented a house of Thirty Pounds by
the year in the parish of Saint Martin Outwich in the
City of London and lived in the same for about eight Months
& died there And did not afterwards gain any subsequent
Settlement And this Deponent farther saith that after
her said Fathers Death she Married her said late Husband
Jonas Smith< no role > who was by Birth a Norway man & served
his Apprenticeship there to ye Trade of a Taylor And
as he informed this Depont. & as this Deponent believes
And this Deponent farther saith that her sd. husband
to her knowledge or belief never Rented a house of Ten
Pounds by the year nor served any parish offices nor
lived as a hired servant by the year Nor did any Act
to Acquire a legal settlement during his residence in
the Kingdom of Great Britain And this Deponent
farther saith that since the respective Deaths of her
sd Father and husband or before she this Deponent has
not lived as a hired servant by the year Nor Rented a
house of Ten pounds a year a upwards nor done any
Act to Acquire a settlement in her own right to her knowledge
or belief
