Majesties first Regiment of Foot Guards
Maketh oath that about Twenty seven years
Ago he was bound apprentice to Mr John
Emerton
< no role > a Cordwainer of the the Parish of Layton
Buzzard in the County of Bedford & duly served
his apprenticeship & by Means thereof gained
a settlement there And this Depont. says that
he never lived as a hired servt by the Year Nor
rented a house of Ten pounds a Year or Upwards
Nor served any Parish offices nor gained any
subsequent settlement to the knowledge or belief. And that he has a Wife
Named Mary< no role > and three Children to wit Joseph< no role >
Aged five years & upwards William< no role > aged abt
two Years and Jonathan< no role > aged about five
Months the lawful issue of this Deponent by his
sd wife
