Thomas Gibson< no role > maketh Oath that one
Ann Reader< no role > of the Parish of St. Botolph without
Aldgate in the said County Singlewoman by
her examination taken in Writing & on Oath
the Fifteenth Day of June instant declared
that about Three Years and a half ago she was
hired as a Servant by the year to Mr. Carr
of Nr 18 Argyle Street in the Parish of St. James
in the City & Liberty of Westminster Gent
at the yearly Wages of Nine Guineas and
continued in his Service under such hiring
for the space of One Year & a half And
[..] that about Two Months after she
quitted his Service she was delivered of
a Female Child at the Westminster lying
in Hospital which has been Baptized by
the Name of Matilda< no role > ; that the said
Child was born on the Twenty first Day of
Septr. One Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety
Six as he has since been informed by the
said Ann Reader< no role > , that the said Ann
Reader
< no role > has deserted her said Child, and
that the said Child is become chargeable
to the said Parish of St. Botolph without
Aldgate
