Mary Griffiths< no role > the Wife of John Griffiths< no role > a Soldier in the 57. Regt Foot
(who has deserted her) maketh Oath that
she was lawfully Married to her said Husband
at the Parish Church of St. Mary Whitechapel
on or about the Twenty First Day of June 1792
that her said Husband has informed her that
he was duly bound Apprentice by Indenture
to Mr. Walters of the Town & Parish of
Carmarthen in South Wales Taylor for Seven
Years that he duly served his said Master
there under the said Indenture for the space
of Five years, when his said Master gave
him up his Indentures, that her said Husband
has not since his said Apprenticeship Rented
any House or Lodging of the yearly Rent or
Value of Ten Pounds or paid any Poors Rate
or Kings Tax or done any Act to her knowledge
or belief to gain a Subsequent Settlement
that She has Two Children Namely Phoebe< no role >
aged about Two years & Charlotte< no role > aged
about Three Months the lawful issue by
her said Husband, that She this Deponent
for the space of a Fortnight now last past
lodged in Kent Street in the Borough of
Southwark , & came from thence on Sunday
last into the Parish of St. Botolph without
Aldgate in the County of Middlesex
