Joseph Short< no role > Maketh Oath that about
Fourteen Years ago he was hired & lived as a
hired Servant by the Year with Mr. Arnoy of
Wellclose Square in the Parish of St. Mary
White Chapel in the County of Middlesex
Sugar Baker at the yearly Wages of Eighteen
Guineas and continued in such Service under
such hiring upwards of One Year But at the
time he lived Servant as aforesaid he had
a Wife living named Catherine< no role > to whom
he was lawfully Married at the Parish
Church of St. Botolph Aldgate London on or
about theDay of
And further Saith that before his said Marriage
and when a Singleman he was hired & lived
as a hired Servant by the Year with Mr.
Jessmer of Maudlins Rents in the Parish of
St. Botolph without Aldgate in the County of
Middlesex at certain yearly Wages and
continued in such Service under such hiring
upwards of One Year & never did any Act to
his knowledge or Belief to gain a Subsequent
Settlement that he has Three Children the
lawful Issue by his said Wife namely Charlotte
Elizabeth
< no role > aged about Eighteen Years, Ann Rebecca< no role >
aged about Twelve Years & John< no role > aged about Seven
Years
