Ann Chapman< no role > the Wife of William
Chapman
< no role > (who is now in places to her
unknown) maketh Oath that she was lawfully
Married to her said Husband about Nine
Years ago at the Parish Church of St. Giles
Cripplegate in the City of London that her
said Husband has informed her & which
she believes to be true that before his
Marriage with her and when a Singleman
he lived as a hired Servant by the Year
with Mr . Francis Jones< no role > of the Parish of
Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the
County of Middlesex Oilman at certain
yearly Wages and continued in such
Service upwards of One year that her
said Husband after his Marriage with
her never Rented any House or Lodging
of the yearly Rent or Value of Ten Pounds
or paid any Poors Rate or Kings Tax or
did any Act to her knowledge or Belief
to gain a Subsequent Settlement that she
has Four Children namely Ann< no role > aged about
Seven Years, Richard< no role > aged about Six Years
Elizabeth< no role > aged about Three Years & Edward< no role >
aged about Eleven Months the lawful Issue
by her said Husband
