Continued Thursday the 28th April 1796

And also consented that Mr. Hobson should assign the Lease when
granted to Messrs Ives and Company

And had ordered that a Lease should be granted to Mr. Thomas
Winckworth
< no role > of four houses in Bethlem Court for twenty one Years from
Lady day last at a Pepper born rent for the first six Months and Forty
five pounds per Annum for the remainder of the Term

And that the Clerk should furnish John Baker< no role > Esqr one of the
Governors with the Particulars of the correspondence between Mr. Burr
the former Tenant of the Farm in Kent George Morland< no role > Esqr and
Mr. Martin the present Tenant respecting an allowance of rough Timber
claimed by Mr. Martin and request Mr. Bakers opinion as to the
propriety of the allowance.

And that the Clerk should prepare a Deputation for Mr
Martin as Game Keeper of the Manor of Barfreston in pursuance
of the Treasurers appointment

And that the Treasurer should purchase £2000 three Per Cent
Consols for the benefit of Bridewell Hospital

And that the Clerk should take the most effectual means to recover
the rent due from Mr. Robert Grubb< no role > unless the same was paid within
fourteen days

And that the Surveyor be desired to attend to the works going on to
the great Sewer in Bridewell Precinct and report to the Committee if
any thing should arise which might affect the Estate or House of
the Tenants of this Hospital.

The Minutes of the Prison Committee were read and confirmed
whereby it appeared.

That a proposal had been made on behalf of the Assignees of Mr.
Snuggs the Contractor for constructing the Mens Prison and Mr.
Biggs and Mr Sarjeant his Sureties that in order to put an end to
the Action commenced against them Mr. Biggs should on or before the
2d of May next pay £100 together with the Costs of the Action and
that the Hospital should receive a dividend on the Sum of £100 from
