Continued Thursday 27th. November 1794 .

That the Committee had Ordered the Surveyor to prepare a plan
for converting the Buildings on the South West side of the Womens
Prison into a Prison for the men And that the necessary Repairs
should be done to the House adjoining the Womens Prison for the
residence of the Porter.

the Prisons reprimanded.


This Court preciously to confirming the minutes of the Prison Committee
Resolved unanimously that John Gearing< no role > the Superintendant of the Prisons
having been Guilty of Gross misconduct and neglect should be reprimanded
by the President which was done accordingly And the Minutes of the Prison
Committee were then confirmed.

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the 30th. September last were
read whereby it appeared

That the Committee had contracted for Meat Slops and Cloathing
for the use of the Patients for six months from Michaelmas last.

That some doubt having arisen as to the construction of the first
Rule for the admission of patients into Bethlem Hospital Vizt. Whether
"the expence of the security Bonds should be paid by the friends of the
"Patients or by the Hospital The Committee had Resolved that the construction
of the said Rule should be submitted to the decision of the next General
Court.

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee were confirmed And the Court Resolved
that the expence of the Stamp for the Security Bond required on the Admission
of all Patients into Bethlem Hospital should in future be paid by there
Friends of the Patient.

The minutes of the Committee of Auditors of the 24th. September last were
read and Confirmed Whereby it appeared
