And it is Ordered that a Staff be sent him forthwith.

"In Pursuance of an Order of Court bearing date the 25th. day
of November last whereby it was referred to this Committee
to consider what are and ought to be the duty Salary and
Perquisites of the Porter of Bethlem Hospital We have Proceeded
to Inquire into the several matters above referred to us and
do find that the following Rules and Orders have been made
and are now subsisting relating to his Duty and Office
which we are of Opinion are necessary to be confirmed and
established that is to say

That he shall be Keeper of and open and shut the
Gates and Doors and shall take care that the Bar Gates on
