Continued Thursday 4 Augt. 1763 being Election Day.

That your Petition and the said Robt Hardcastle< no role > afterwards presented their
Petition to the said Court Staling the said Order and that the Said Robt. Hardcastle
had Agreed to let part of the said Ground so Agreed to be domised to him as aforesaid to
Godfrey Thornton< no role > Esqr and other part thereof to Samuel Handley< no role > Esqr . and that your
Petitioner had Agreed with the said Robert Hardcastle< no role > for 34 Feet of the said Ground
(Eastward from Mr. Standings) which was more particularly described in a Ground
Plot thereof Signed by the Petitioners and that your Petitioner proposed to lay out £1500
in Building a Substantial Brick Messuage on the said 34 Feet of Ground within the
Time limitted in the Agreement with the said Robt. Hardcastle and to pay £7 P Annum Rent
for the same and prayed a Lease for the Remainder of the said 62 Years and Mr. Robt.
Taylor
< no role > at the same Time presented another Petition on behalf of your Petition Stating
that upon the 11th. July 1752 he had Agreed for your Petitioner with the said Robert
Hardcastle
< no role > for a Piece of Ground in Old Bethlem and the liberty of the Passage these the
Stable Yard behind Mr. Handleys House adjoining and began Building a House
which projected backwards beyond Mr. Handleys upon which Mr. Handley declared
that unless the said Building was put Back your Petitioner shod. not have a Passage
thro. the Stable Yard which he Apprehended he had a Night to and Also Stating that the
Said governors had reserved 6 Feet of Ground backwards all along the South Side
of the Ground let to the said Robt. Hardcastle and praying that Fees Ingress and Regress
thro the said Back Ground might be granted to your Petitioner on such Terms as the
governors shod. think fit and on 21st. of March 1753 an Order was made to referr the
Said Petitions to the Committee and that they shod. report their Opinion thereon to ye Court

That by another Order made on 28th. May 1753 upon Reading the Report of the
Committee on the said Petitions It was Ordered that a Lease shod. be granted with
Usual Covenants to your Petitioner of the said 34 Feet of Ground in front for the Remainder
of the said Term agreed to be let to the said Robt. Hardcastle< no role > at the Rent of £7 P Annum
clear of all Taxes payable Quarterly with liberty of Ingress Egress and Regress in by
and thro. 4 Feet part of the said 6 Feet Space so reserved to the governors as aforesaid
at the further Rent of 2s. P Annum and 25 Guineas Five reserving Liberty to the governors
to build over the said 4 Feet Space at the It eight of Ten Feet from the Surface of the Ground
Your Petitioner Executing a Counterpart of the said Lease

That your Petitions hath long since Erected on the Premisses a large and
Commodious Brick dwelling House and laid out in Compleating the same more than double
the Sum Agreed to be expended and will at the Expiration of the Term leave Chimney
Pieces and other things to a large Amount
