Upon Reading the humble Petition Francis Wilson< no role > of the Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields in the County of Middx Gentl as follows ViztThat Hugh Hamersley< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. Esq
and Eliza. Hamersley< no role > his Sister who held 5 houses at Charing Cross under a Lease
from the Govrs. of Bethlem Hospital for 31 Years from Lady day 1730 at the
rent of £80 P Ann clear of Taxes (wch will Expire at Lady day 1761) have in
Pursuance of Lycence to them Granted at a Court the 25th. of May last Assigned
the said Lease & premes to your Petitioner To hold for the residue of the said
Term of 61 yearsThat the said Messes are in a very ruinous [..]
and Decayed Condition and the precarious Interest the petitioner hath at
present therein will not Admitt of his repairing a Leaseing the same in
a proper manner to the respective under tenantsThat the petitioner
Proposes to take a New Lease of the said premes for 31 Years from the Expiration
of the sd. Lease in being at the former rent of £80 P Ann clear of Taxes &
to lay out £700 in the repairs mentioned in an Estimate dated the 4th.
day of July Instant and Signed by Mr. HoldenAnd praying the Govrs.
will be pleased to grant him a Lease AccordinglyThis Court Doth
Order that the said petitions be referr'd to the Comittee of this House to Consider
thereof And report their Opinion thereon to the Court.

At the Court the Charge was read to Mr. Thomas Bigge< no role > as a Governor
of these Hospitals.

Mr. President Acquainted this Court that he had received of Mr. Thomas
Bigge a Bank Note of £100 for the Use of these Hospitals which he paid to
Mr. Treasurer in CourtOrder'd the thanks of this Court to the sd Mr Bigge
for his kind benefaction.
