Upon Reading the humble Petition of John Johnson< no role > Tailer Settingforth
That he Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospl. to Benj Parker< no role > one
of the Artsmasters by Indre dated the 16 June 1749 and by Order of Court
23d. of July last was made free of this City the day of last And
is set up for himself in his said Trade at his Own House the Sign of the Golden hart in Bride lane faceing
Bridewell Hospital Gate And praying some part of Mr Fowkes gift the better
to enable him to Carry on his Trade, Mr. Deputy Martindale Mr Saml Seawell< no role >
and Mr. Richard Manley< no role > or any two of them are desired to enquire whether he
be set up in his sd. Trade & of this hopefullness therein and report to the Court

to take a Lease with Usual Covenants between the Governors & their Tenants of
a house in the Precinct late in Occupation of James Heather< no role > (No. 5c ) with
a Covenant to be Added to Serve Chappel warden when thereto Elected) for 21 Years
from Michas next at £7. P Ann rent clear of Taxes and to lay out £55
in Necessary repairs, Or to give £13 P Ann rent clear of Taxes the Govrs.
laying out that Sum in Necessary repairs & to Execute a Counterpart of such
LeaseAnd praying a Lease AccordinglyThis Court doth Order that
the said Petition be referr'd to the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof &
report their Opinion thereon to the Court.
