Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this House bearing date the
31. of October last under the Hands of Edward Holloway< no role > Esqr . Trear Dr . Richard
Rawlinson

the pavior Acquainted this Committee that the pavement which is of pables &
Ragstones Mixt and in a ruinous Condition from the North Side of the little Gate
of this Hospital to the South East Corner of Tudor Street certains three hundred
and forty five yards and to Newlay the fort way with the old Ragstones and the
Cartway all with pobles will want about 25 Tons of Pobles which at Twenty Shillings
Per Ton will amount to £25 & he proposes to do the work and find Gravel as
Six pence per yard which will amount to £8..12..6 which this Comittee think
reasonable and Order it to be reported to the next CourtThis Court having
duly weighed and considered the said Report doth confirm the [..] mer

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this House bearing date the 19th
of September last under the hands of Edward Holloway< no role > Esqr . Trear Dr . Richard
Rawlinson

of St. Martins Lane Charing Cross Victualler proposed to take a A Lease with such
Covenants as are usually contained in Leases from the Governrs. to their Tenants
of the House he now dwells in Situate in St. Martins Lane for 21 Years to consent
from laday next at the Yearly Rent of £20 payable quarterly dear of all
Parliamentary or other Taxes for the First year of the said From and to repair
the said House in the manner mentioned in an Estimate said before this court
Vizt. To make good al the Brick Work and so much of the Carpenters and
Plumbers as neadfull before Laday next and the Outside painting to be done in
One Year and to execute a Counter part of Such LeaseThat Comee are of
Opinion to Accept the said Proposalls whereupon the said Richard Kyte I gave a
Guinea to the poors boxall which is neverthless submitted to the Judgemt.
of the CourtAnd it is ordered this Opinion be reported to the Court
This Court having duly weighted & considered the said Report doth confirm the
same & order that a Lease be made to the said Richard Kyte accordingly.

This Comittee taking Notices of the ruinous Condition of the three Houses near
the little Gate of this Hospital and having several times advertised in the publick news
papers that the Jame were to be laton a Building or repairing Lease and taken allother
measures they could to let the Same and no person having made any proposalls
Thereupon this Comitttee Ordered Mr. Cordwell and Mr. Smith to make an Estimate
of the charges of putting the said three Houses into Tenantable repair which they have
done amounting to £353..16..4 as by an Estimate Signed by them Appears It is
Ordered that the said Estimate be laid before the next Court for their directions in the Case
This Court having duly weighted & considered the said Report doth
referr it back to the said Comittee to reconsider the same.
