Upon Reading a Report from the Comee of the House bearing date
the 13th day of Septemr. Last in the words following, viztAt This
Comee Benjamin Thatcher< no role > Broadweaver one of the artsmar . of the sd
hospital Complained of Several of his apprentices vizt

That John Brister< no role > has been 12 days makeing 13. or 14
yards of Dawash his Oath is 2˝yards a day ( which is 3 yards in
Spittle feilds )Brister Says the Silk is too fine.

That William Homan< no role > made but ˝ yard a day of the
same work till his Mar. was forced to turn him out of ye Loom and he
now makes but a peise of Stuff in a fortnight which a journey man
will make for Os. Od.Says also the First she harness was out of
order and the Loom was Lease, and as to the Latter he did a peise in
Six days It appeared by Thatchers Book he was 11 days about one
peise & did another of the same in 7 days and that he was an
unreasonable time about other works.

That Richard Tolly< no role > is 11 days making 25 Yards of
Dunjar which counds to 7s.& 24 working days about two peices
of the same Stuffand 9 days about another.

That Henry Brown< no role > .goes out when he pleases without asking

Mr John May< no role > & Zachary Clarke< no role > Weavers in Long Alley
Moorfeilds and David Crathorn< no role > their Journeyman say the
Apprentices may make 3 Yards a day and Crathorn says he
makes usually 4 yards a day of the Same Silk and the same
work and pattern that Thatchers apprentices make and does not
begin till between 6. &7 in the morning and Leace off at 9.

Thather produced several Bobuis of Silk which he found his
under a board in the Shop and with which the apprentices used to
make Canestrings ad Switchers to sell which all of sin knew of

Ordered That it be Reported to the Court that his the Opinion
of the Comee That BristerHuman& Tolly be publickly
Conected before all the apprentices in this Hospital

Also at this Comee George Male< no role > weaver one of the
artsmar . of this Hospital Complained of his apprentice Nathaniel
Steed
< no role > that he took his Masters Dangr. of 8 Months old and cossed
her from one side of the Bed to the other and then pat his Yard
into her Mouth about two Mouths ago& Timothy Lucas< no role > &
Thomas Haynes< no role > his fellow apprentices Seeing him went and took the Child
