George Bell< no role > apprentice to Gabriel Bestman< no role > was brought up from the
hempblock haveing run away the 26th day of August and was brought
back by his Mother the 5th. Instant he promising to behave himself
well for the future was reprimanded and sent home wth his Master

from ye Hemp block}


Robert Busher< no role > apprentice to Swynborn was brought up from the
hempblock haveing run away the 13th. day of February last was
taken in Blackfryars the last day of March he promised he would
never run away again and was sent home with his Master.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Christopher Appleby< no role > Executor of
the last will & Testament of Dame Elizabeth Holford< no role > deced Setting forth
That resd Dame Elizabeth Holford< no role > who was Admrx of Henry Harbin< no role > deced
was possed of Several peices of Ground in Bridewell Precinct & of several
Brickhouses Erected thereon soon after the fire of London all which she held
by three Leases two whereof (& which Contain the Greatest part of the premes)
will expire in five years Vizt at Lady day 1726. and the other wch. is but
of a Small part of the sd Estate will expire in about Ten years vizt. at Xmas
1731. and that the sd Dame Elizabeth Holford< no role > is lately dead but in her life time
made her will & thereof the Petr. & others her Execator & the other Executors
renounceing, the Petr. alone hath since proved the sd Will and that the whole
Estate of ye restatue is devised to be sold & the mony ariseing thereby to be
applyed Cheifely for Charitable purposes vizt. for Releife and discharge of poor
prisoners out of ye Goals in & about the City of London for Endowment of small
viccaridges, for Supporting Charity Schools, and five hundred pounds is thereby give
to the Governor s of Christs hospital for Sustaining the many poor Children kept &
Educated therein and that great part of ye Testatue ye Estate consists in souly see
Stock and Governmt. Securitys Subscribed into that Company by reason whereof
under the present unhappy Circumstances of affairs her Estate wind fall
greatly deficient to answer the purposes directed by her will and that if
the Governor s wou'd please to renew the said Several Leases & to fill up the said
respective Terms for 41 years the Estate of the sd Testatue in this precinct [..]
be sold for a mark better advantage than at this time & thereby the fund for her intended
Charitys would be augmentedand praying that the Governers would be pleased to
order the sd three several Leases to be Renewed accordingly, the Pett. Submitting to pay
Such resonable fines in respect thereof as the Governor s Should please to di [..]
It is Ordered that the Consideration of ye said Petition be Referred to
the Comittee of their house who are desired to Report their opinion the said
to this Court
