Mr John Amy< no role > one of the Govr . of these hospitals & one of ye Court of assistants of the
Mercht. Tailor Co. acquainted this Court That Mr North ye Clerke of ye sd Co. attend & wth
a Mossage from ye Compa to this Court in relation to the Sume of £1500 of the money
of Bethlem hospital which was lent several yeares ago to ye. sd Compa at £5 Pcents
he might be called in which being done he delivered his Message That ye Company desird
to know whether this Court would be pleased to take in their money or Lett it lye at
£4.pcent Interest & that in ye mean time ye Company might have Copys of ye
Counterparts of the two Leases of ye Mortgaged premisses in Order to renewenix
then withdrew and Mr. Amy also withdrew And ye Court haveing considered ye matter
doth Order That notice be given to ye sd Company that This Court desires ye said
£1500 and Interest may be paid in to The Treasr. of these hospitals on this day Six
Months & Mr. Amy being returned into Court & Mr North being called in agen they
were acquainted there with and both agreed to accept ye notice on behalfe of ye sd Compa

apprentices made free


At this Court the pearson hereunder named were ordered to be made free of this City
haveing Served their apprenticeships in this Hospital to ye artsmar hereunder mencorned
vizt.

Beadles Grat for ½ yr.
to Midsumr. 1718}


Upon reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles and portersman of this
hospital for their usual Gratuitys of forty Shillings a peice in respect of the halfe
year ending at Midsumr. Last for that their Salaries are but Small It is
Ordered that ye Clerke of these hospitals do give and pay unto them forty
Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next account

Basketmens Gra for ½ yr.

of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty Shillings a peice in respect
of the halfe year ending at Midsumr. Last for that their Salaries are but Small
It is Ordered that ye Clerke of these hospitals do give and pay unto them
Twenty Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next account
