Upon Reading ye Petition of
Joseph Eyles< no role >

. Setting forth, That by an
Order of Court ye 23th Novr. Last he was to have a Lease of ye Ground
premises Late in ye possion of
Benjamin Miller< no role >
in old Bethlem
for Sixty
years at ye yearly Rent of Twelve pounds and to pay Sixty pounds fine
and to Lay out £250 in building whereof £200 at Least to be laid out
in Building one Messuage towards ye front after ye 2d Rate of building
and he was to Sett back 12 foot from ye front of ye old building which
was intended to enlarge ye Street there but ye order doth not mention
from which front ye 12 foot shall be sett back and if it be all taken
from ye front on ye passage Leading to Moorfeilds
it will not enlarge
ye Street much above one foot and be very inconvenient to ye house
intended to be builtAnd praying that he may be allowed to sett
back & foot from ye old front towards Bpps Gate Street
and four foot
from the old front to ye passage leading to Moorfeilds which will make
P Street much wider and more to comodious and as apprehends better
answer ye Governours intentIt is Ordered That ye consideracon
of ye said petition be referred to ye Comee who are to meet at Bethlem
hospital to morrow and to Mr. Marshall Mr. Niccols Mr. Furnese
Mr Depty. Everett Mr Bateman Mr Lee and Mr. Rawlinson or any
three or more of them who also are desired to view ye premises and
Report to this Court their Opinion what is proper to be done thereon
