Setting forth that
Richard Blackstone< no role >
her Late
husband deced was for about Seven years Surgeon to these hospitals
dureing the greatest part of which time the hospital of Bethlem
was full of patients and a great many Convicts Sent from Newgate
to their hospital of Bridewell
which occasioned more business &
Loss of time than what attended his predecessors That her said
husband never applyed for any gratuity but dyed very much in debt
leaveing the Petr. unprovided for And praying a Gratuity in respect of
his Said husbands extraordinary Service It is Ordered That
the Petition be referred to the Comittee of this house who are
desired to consider the same and to Report their Opinion to
their Court what they thmb proper to be done therein
