Also upon reading the humble peticon of Roger Gething< no role >
one of the Beadles and Clerke of the Chappell of the Hospital of
Bridewell Settingforth. That he has been Chappell Clerke Fourteen
Yeares For which he has had noe Sallary or other allowance, his
Sallary as Beadle being noe more than that of the other Elder
Beadle, that he has been at a Conslant Charge & trouble incleaneing
the Chappell and lookeing after the Appurtenances besides his
teaching the Apprentices to sing psahnes which he has usually
Attended horse a week And that this wife being often indisposed in
her nine is deprived of her business of a Mantua maker which
was a helpe towards the maintenance of his Familly And
humbly praying the Consideration of the Court therein Itt is
Ordered That a gratuity of Thirty pounds be given to the said
Roger Gething< no role > for his past service as Clerke of the Chappell and
Mr. Treasur. Cass. is desired to pay him the same

Also upon reading unto this Court the humble Petition of Wm.
Attkins
< no role > Taylor Settingforth That he is Senr. Artsmar . in this
Hospital and always had the whole business of Taylor to these
Hospitalls till lately the halfe was taken from him and ordered to
Mr Young another Artsmaster And thereby and by reason of the
Petr. growing anlient his business deceased And thereupon his
Apprentices Complained to the Comittee of this Hospital that they
wanted both worke and Victuals And the Petr being abroad upon
his business his wife Attended the Comittee and acquainted them
that his boyes had always wholsome Victuall and as much as
was Sufft for'em tho' he had not for full employmt. as usuall for
the reasons aforesaid however upon the Comittees Rept. the Court
Ordered the Petr. to be discharged this Hospital but if he was
restored to the whole worke of the Hospitals he can very well
maintaine the three boyes he has And that he and his wife being
very antient and their substance gone are inevitubly runied if the
Petr. be banished from this Hospital And humbly praying to be
restored or othewise that the Court would doe for him as to them should
seeme meet Itt is Ordered That such go to of the peticon as relates to the
said Wm. Attkins poverty be Referred to the Considracon of the Comittee of this
House who are desired to Report to this Court what they thinke proper to
be done therein
