Also upon reading the Humble Petition of John Turner< no role > late
Clerke to Mr Timm Setting forth that there is money due to him
for business done for the Hospitals and praying that he may be
paid the Same It is Order'd That it be referred to the Comittee
of this house to examine into the matter of the said Petition and
report their opinion therein to this Court.

Also this Court being informed that the place of Surgeon of
these Hospitals is become vacant by the death of Mr Christopher
Tallman
< no role > It is Order'd that the Election of a Surgeon be on the
next Court day

Also upon reading the Humble Petitions of William Reading< no role >
Thomas Killingworth< no role > , Thomas Evans< no role > , Thomas Robinson< no role > , Thomas
Bland
< no role > and John Hall< no role > for one of them to be admitted Blacksmith
of the Hospitals of Bridewell and Bethlem in the room of John
Sleamaker
< no role > lately discharged from the said Employment and they being
all putt in nomination and reduced to two as those who had the
plurality of hands vizt Thomas Bland< no role > and John Hall< no role > who being
again putt in nomination for one of them to be elected thereunto
The Right Worshippll. Sr Thomas Rawlinson< no role > Knt and Aldran &
President of the said Hospitals was pleased to declare that in his
opinion the plurality of hands were for said John Hall< no role > and
Poll being demanded it was desired that such of the Governours as
were for the Sd Thomas Bland< no role > Should withdraw into the Great Dineing
room & such of the Governours as were for the said John Hall< no role > should
Stay in the Court room which being done Tellers were appointed Vizt
Mr George Buckley< no role > and Major Hulls who haveing taken an account
of the Several numbers & being returned did report to this Court
that the number of Governors for the Sd John Hall< no role > was fifty Seven
the number of Governours for the sd Thomas Bland< no role > was forty Two
the Majority being for the sd John Hall< no role > this Court doth thereupon
declare the said John Hall< no role > elected and Order that the said John Hall< no role >
be admitted to doe the Blacksmith worke of these Hospitals he
doeing the same as well & as cheape as any other during the pleasure of
this Court.
