Mr Josh. Taylor Elected
a Clerke.


The severall Peticons of which Said Severall Persons being
Severally read over Alphabetically They were all put upp in
Nominacon in the Same Alphabeticall Order, for one of them to
bee Elected Clerke to the Said Hospitalls of Bridewell &
Bethlem; And it appeared plainly after Severall Reduccons
that the Plurality of hands were for the said Joseph Pember< no role >
and Joseph Tayler< no role > , who being againe put in Nominacon for
one of them to bee Elected thereunto, The right worll. Sr. Tho:
Rawlinson
< no role > knt . Aldran & President of the said Hospitalls
was pleased to Declare, that in the Opinion the Plurality
of hands were for the said Joseph Tayler< no role > ; Where upon
a Poll being demanded by Sr . Richard Blackmore< no role > & Edward
Coulson
< no role > Esqr . between the said Mr. Pember and Mr. Tayler it was granted;
And it was desired that Such of the Governors do were for the Said
Joseph Pember Should withdraw into the Dyneing Roome
and Such Governors as were for the said Joseph Tayler< no role >
should Continue in the Court Room of the said Hospitall
which being done Tellers were appointed Vizt
Sr. Richd Blackmore< no role > & Mr. Ben: Tudman< no role > , who having
taken an Account of the Severall Numbers, ande being
returned did Report to this Court, that the Number of
Governors for the Said Joseph Pember were Eighty five,
and the Number of Governors that they told for the said Joseph
Tayler
< no role > were One hundred & Eighty, and then they desisted telling
the therewere Many more on the Side were left untold; And
a great Majority being for the said Joseph Tayler< no role > ;
This Court doth there upon Declare the Said Joseph
Tayler
< no role > bee admitted to bee Clerke of the said Hospitalls
of Bridewell and Bethlem untill the next Eleccon
Day, And the Court Doth admitt him accordingly;
And further Order that he shall from hence forth have &
Enjoy the Sallary and Proffits thereto belonging as the Said
Benjamin Timme had & enjoyed the Same as the Fees are new Setled And also the
House and dwelling wherein the Said Benjamin Timme< no role >
lived: He giving Security as usuall.
