for 41 years at £10 P Annm to Comence from Ladyday then
last past so there is 33 years to come That £600 ensured
will cost £800 building and repairing the wharfe And is willing
to sett back to make the street 20 foot and upwards wide as the
Same is now staked out And being prsent in Court and referring
himselfe to the Court for what Incouragement they shall
think fitt to give him to Rebuild the same Prmisses It is
Ordered by this Court That the duely paying his rent
reserved for the Hospll. and well and substantially New building
all the Front houses wthin two years according to the second
rate of building appointed by Act of Parliament for the
rebuilding of the City of London and the back houses and
warehouses and wharfe in the same time as well & substantially
and of like value as they were before the sd Fire And leaveing
the street and lanes next every new building 20 Foot broad &
upwards as above and fronted with houses upon an equall
rainge And Surrendering his Old Lease of the Prmisses wth an addicon of
28 years to his former lease as an Encouragement to build the
prmisses well and substantially with the like Covenants Condicons
and Provisoes as were in his former lease with a further Covent. to
pay for the said 28 years so added to his terme as above the
addiconall rent of £5 P annm over and above the sd £10 P annm
all ready reserved And nottolett the Prmisses to a Tallow
Melter nor for a Reed stack or a Bavin stack unless enclosed
with Brick walls Upon penalty of double his Rent yearly And if
any difference shall arise betweene the Tenants and him the same
by his consent shall be determined by the Governors or any twelve
of them whereof the President or Trear to be one and sealeing a
Counterpart of the sd Lease wth Bonds to performe Covents where with
he being acquainted thankfully accepted thereof And promised to
build seale do and performe the same accordingly And that his
Under tenant (if any) shall have a proporconable allowance as he
hath from the Governors and as an acknowledgemt of this favour gave
two guyneas to the Poors box:
