Lunaticks not to
exceed the No: of 136
and to be taken in on
Saturdays only.


This Court takeing into consideracon the severall
Inconveniences that dayly happen by takeing into the Hospll
of Bethlem a greater number of Lunaticks then the house is
capable to Receive Doth Order That for the future the number
of Patients in the said Hospll do not Exceed 136 And for the
prevention of any abuses that may be Imposed upon the Charity of
the said Hospll And to the intent That the weekly Comittee for the
time being together with the Physitian [..] of the sd Hospll may have the
Inspection [..] and Examine into the Condicons and circumstances
of the respective Lunaticks that shall from time to time make
application for their admission. It is Further Ordered That
for the future every Lunatick or distracted person shall be admitted
into the said Hospll on Saturday only in the week between the
hours of ten and twelve of the Clock in the forenoone in the
prsences of the sd Physition and Comittee for the time being and
not otherwise Except upon extra ordinary occasions:

Also This Court being Informed That a Shed is lately
Erected upon London Wall adjoyning to the Straw-house of the
Hospll of Bethlem [..] wherein is placed severall Joyners goods
thereby to Expose them to sale wch this Court are of opinion
may be very dangerous in case of Fire And this Court being like-
wise Informed that great part of the wharfeing of the Fleetditch
is fallen into the great danger of the Inhabitants of the Hospll
and precinct thereof: Doth Order that such of the Governor of
these Hospll as are of the Comittee for the City Lands be desired to
acquaint the said Comittee there of that effectuall care may be taken
for the pulling downe the sd shed and amending of the sd wharfe

for watching Fuller


Also Upon the humble Peticon of three of the Beadles and Ponters may of this
Hospll: for an allowance for their Extra ordinary trouble is watching
all night dureing the time of Mr Fullers Confinement in this house
This Court doth Order that the Clerk of these Hosplls do give and pay
unto them One shilling P night in respect of such their extra ordinary
care: being 112 nights.
