Also Upon the humble Peticonr of Lybill a Higgons< no role > Matron of the
Hospll. of Bridewell showing That She has been matron of his sd [..]
4 years at Michal last and that at her Execucon the said Office She paid
neare Fourty pounds for beds & other Furniture for his accomodation of the
prisonr. (The perquisetts of her Office consisting theifly in Furnishing bed [..]
Such prisonr. as an able to pay a small usuall price for the Same) and that
for above two yeares last a greater number of women prisonr. have been
comitted to the sd. Hospll. then heretofore but they have generally been of the
very poorest Sort a great money beggars and a more then ordinary number
from the Sessions who have generally law in the Straw soe that ye. petr.
had made little or clothing of her Lodgings besides wth. the Prison has been
thereby almost constantly infected wth. a Dangerous contagious Distemper
wch. has occasioned a great deale of Illness in the Pers. Family wth has been
great charge to her & has reduced her to a very low condiond and therefore
praying Such Gratuity in respect thereof as to this Court should Seem meet
This Court haveing in a truely weighed & consided. the Prmisses. & the
Extraordinaryness of ye petr. case doe think fitt & for Ordr. That Mr. Trear
doe Give & pay unto her Forty pounds in respect of his four Yeares last
past to be Allowed Mr. Trear in his next account

of the weekly paymt. of Five Shillings for the Keeping his Son Nathll.

above 6 Months and Lot having tenn children to provide and
nothing to assist him towards the said charge save a Lease hold Estate of
£6. a Yeare for 2 lives and wt. he earnes by his owne Labor & therefore
is altogether unable any longer to beare the Sd. weekly paymt. of Five
Shillings This Court receiving a Satisfactory accot. of the Truth of the
mattr. of the Sd. peticond Doe Order That Security being given for the
paymt. of the Two Shillings a week for the Keeping the Sd. Nathl. Barrott< no role > on
the Sd. Hospll. for the future That then the Proud for the paymt. of Five
Shillings a week be delivered up to be cancelled
