Also upon the humble Peticon of the Three Beadles or
Baskettmen for the Hospll of Bethlem for their usuall gratuity.
Twenty Shillings a piece given them by this Court in respected
the halfe Yeare ending at Lady day last It is ordered by this [..]
That Mr Trear doe give an pay to each of them Twenty Shillings
to be allowed Mr Trear in his next account

Clerks Gratuity

Also upon the humble Peticon of Jeremy Mount< no role > Clerk
of these Hosplls. for continuacon of such Gratuity of the year
ending at Michas 1695 as this Court was pleased to best owns
him for the Yeare Preceding in respect of the smallnesse of his
Sallary And that the perquisitts of his Office are very much
lessened by the Hosplls revenue being for the most part lett out
upon very long Leases, And for that the businesse of his
Office has much Encreased of late Yeares This Court
upon consideracon of the prmrs doe think fitt and soe
order That Mr: Trear doe give and pay unto him
Fifty pounds as a Free Gratuity of this Court
for the Yeare ending at Michas last

Tobacco Pipe maker of London for some mittigacon of the Weekly
paymt: of Five Shillings for the keeping of Mary May< no role > (his wife)
a poor Lunatick in the Hospll of Bethlem he being a porr Jour [..]
Pipe maker and by reason of much sicknesse unable to bear the said
Charge And this Court receiving a satisfactory Account of the very
low Condicon of the Peticonr Itt is ordered by this Court That
Security being given to pay Two Shillings a Weeke for her keeping
there for the future That then the same be received And the box [..]
for payment of Five Shillings a Week be delivered up to be Cancelled

(one of the Artsmars of this Hospll) and since made a Freeman of this City
by the Approbacon of this Court And who is settup for himselfe each
said Trade (as he alleadgeth in Widegate Alley in Bisppsgate Street
at one Tho: Grinings< no role > for some part of Mr Locks gift the better to [..]
him to manage his said Trade It is ordered by this Court That
Mr Smith Grocer Mr Lucas Mr East & Mr Ryon (Four of the Governors of
these Hospll or any Two of them be desired to Inquire of the said [..]
Veale whether he be soe sett up in his said Trade and of his
hopefullnesse therein and to make report thereof to the next Court
