gratuity


Upon the humble Peticon of the Four Beadles and Portersman
of the Hospll of Bridewell for their usuall gratuities of Twenty Shillings
a piece in respect of the halfe yeare ending att Michas last And also for
Twenty Shillings a piece more to buy them Coales For that Coales and
alsoe all manner of Provicons continue very dear and they have all
Families to maintaine This Court upon consideracon of the Prmrs. Dotis
think fitt and soe order That Mr Trear doe give and pay unto them
Twenty Shillings a piece for their usuall gratuities And also Twenty
Shillings a piece more to buy them Coales to be allowed Mr Trear in his
next account

Alsoe upon the humble Peticon of the Three Beadles or Baskett
men for the Hospll of Bethlem for their usuall gratuities of Twenty
Shillings a piece given them by this Court in respect of the halfe yeare
ending att Michas last It is ordered by this Court That Mr Trear doe give
and pay to each of them Twenty Shillings to be allowed Mr Trear in his
next account

Alsoe upon the humble Peticon of Anne Panton< no role > Widdow for
some mittigacon of the Weekly paymt of Five shillings for the
Keeping of James Tucker< no role > her Father a poor Lunatick in the Hospll of
Bethlem where he has been for the space of Seaven Months last
past he having only Six pounds a yeare of his own towards his
maintenance, she haveing Three Children of her owne is not nor any
other of his Children able any longer to contribute towards the Charge of
his maintenance It is ordered by this Court That Securitye being given
to pay Two Shillings and six pence a Weeke for his keeping there for
the future That then the same shall be accepted And the Bond for
paymt: of Five Shillings a Weeke be delivered up to be Cancelled.
