The Matter of
a Nurse for
Bethlem

Comittee}


Upon reading to this Court a paper purporting a
Report of the Comittee of the Hospitall of Bethlem
pursuant to the Applicacon of the Phisitian of the said
Hospitall for a Nurse to be added to the Servants now
belonging to the said Hospitall And upon debate of the
matter of the said Report This Court doth thinke fitt and
soe Order That the same be referred barke to the next
Genall Comittee to be holden for the said Hospitall And
that they Report their Opinions in the Prmisses to this
Court And it is also further Order That for the future
all Reports from Comittees of either Hospll. be signed
by the respective Governors making the same.

Also upon the Mocon of Mr. Hutchenson (one of the
Governors of these Hosplls.) That the Clarke of these
Hospitalls may give or Certificate under his hand what
yearly Rent Mr. Walter Bridall (a Tenant to Bethlem
Hospitall) payeth to the same Hospitall for the Tenemts
he holdeth thereof This Court Doth Order the Same
Accordingly.

Gratuity}


Also upon the humble Peticon of Thomas Yates< no role > Steward
of the Hospitall of Bethlem That this Court will be
pleased to bestow upon him Some Gratuity in respect of
the greate increase of Patients in the said Hospitall
and consequently of business of his Office The Sallary
thereof being small and this Court having a good
account of the Care and Diligence of the said Thomas
Yates
< no role > in his busines It is Ordered That Mr. Trear
Doe pay him £20. as a free gratuity of this Court for
the encouragement of such his Diligence in the Affairs
of the said Hospitall

propose his
Security for
£50


Also upon the humble Peticon of Richard Child< no role > Weaver
(one of the Artsmasters of the Hospitall of Bridewell
praying that this Court would be pleased to lend to his the said
Richard Child< no role > £50. for the enabling him the better to carry on
his Trade he being in an hopefull way for the improving thereof
and wanting Storke being a young man for the managing his
Trade to the best advantage thereof And Offering to give
good Security for the said £50. in case this Court shall see
fitt to encourage his therewith It is Ordered that the
said Richard Child proposing such security This Court will
take his Peticon into further Consideracon.
