Also Upon the humble peticon of John Page< no role > Citizen and
Weaver of London who was Apprentice to John Brown< no role > weaver
and Since Sett up for himselfe in his Said Trade and who hath
formerly recd Five pounds [..] of Mr Locks Gift, for Some furthr
part of the Said gift the better to enable him to follow his
Trade. It is Ordered by this Court That Mr.James Smith< no role >
and Mr Shaw (two of the Governrs of this Hospll) be Desired
to make Inquiry how the Said John Page< no role > has Improved the
Five pounds he formerly had, and in what Condicon he is at
prsent And to make Report thereof to the next Court.

Also [..] This Court being Informed by Some of
the Governors now Prsent in Court That there is great need
that the Sashes and Cornish belonging to the Hospitall of
Bethlem Should be laid a new in Oyle or otherwise that a
great Charge [..] will in a little time fall on ye Sd Hospll
to make good the Same. It is by this Court Referred to the
Comittee of the Said Hospll at a Generall Meeting of the Sd
Comitte as to the Expediency and charge there of, and to Order
the same to be done as they Shall think fitt And This Court
Doth also Referr to the Same Comittee the Care of the
Brickwork of the Said Hospll and to give Order for Ye amending
the Same where it is need full: And Doth further also Recomend
it to the Same Comittee to make Inquiry concerning the [..]
Beer of the Said Hospll And it they find that the Hospll hath
not been well Served therewith, and that there is a necessity of
Changing the Brewers they may doe the Same at their disserday
And in Such case Admitt Mr Alderman Wilcox to Serve this Said
Hospll agen (he having here to fore Furnished the Sd Hospll wth
Beer to the generall content of this Court:) And It is Further
Ordered That Leiut Coll Beaker and Mr Clark of Southwark
painter Stainer be added to the Sd Comitte.

have a Lease of
the house in Huswives
Alley .


Also This Court taking into consideracon the Proposall of
John Emerye< no role > (Bricklayer to these Hospll about his taking a Lease of
[..] an house in Huswives Alley in Old Bethlem
which has long lain Empty & is very much out of Repair
Doe Order That the Said John Emerge Shall have a Lease
there of for one and Twenty yeares At Three pounds
P and Rent. [..] And a yeares time for repairing
he Covenanting wth in that time to put the same in good &
Sufficent Repaire, and with other the now usuall Covents in
the Sd Hosplls Leases . With which the Sd John Emery< no role > being made
Accquainted Did thank fully Receive the Same.
