Hempdresser and since morde a free man of this Citty by the
approbaron of this Courte And Sett upp for himselfe in his trade
as her alloadgeth noore the Ditch Side Bnt wants or stocke to
manage the Came for [..] parte of Mr Locks guilt the better to
on able him to sett upp & manage his [..] hade Itt is ordered by
this Courte That Mr. James Smith< no role > & Mr. Kilby twoe of the
Governor of this hospitall be difined to inquire if her be soe sett
upp for himselfe in his said hads and of his behaviour & hopefulness
therein And make reporte the next Courte.

Alloe upon reading the certificate of Mr. Richard Awbrey< no role > & Mr.
John Drigne< no role > Twoe of the Govenors. of this hospitall That upon
inquiry They finde that John Berrey< no role > whoe was brought upp
an Appntice in this Hospitall wth. Wm. Lee< no role > Silkweaver and Since
morde a freeman of this Citty by the apprebaron of this Court
is sett upp for himselfe in his said horde Itt is ordered by this
Courte that Mr. Trer Baker doe give and pay unto him Five
pounds out of the profitts of Mr. Locks gift the better to
enable him to mannage & Att upp his Lord horde To be allowed
Mr. Trer. on his next Accompt.

Alsoe Itt is ordered that Mr. Pennyman A Governor. of this
hospitall be spoken to about the moneyes given to increase
& be ordded to Mr. Locks Grift. wth. is to be given to the Appntices
brought upp in this hospitall the better to inable them to mannage
their hardes That this Courte mory under formed the will of the
Donor therein

Alsoe upon the humble peticon of Richard Crosse< no role > & John
Cottonhouse

morn of this Hospitall for Rome gratuity in respect of the
smallnesse of their wages being but six & pounds P Annm
Itt is ordered That Mr. Trer Baker doe give & pay unto
them Forty shillings a peece for their future encouragemt.
