Middlesex


These are to Certify that at the Delivery of the King's
Gaol of Newgate holden for the County of Middlesex at Justice
hall in the Old Bailey in the Suburbs of the City of London on
Wednesday the Tenth day of December in the twenty fourth year
of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of
Great Britain Etc Before Robert Peekham< no role > Esquire Mayor of the
City of London , James Adair < no role > one of His Majesty's Serjeants at
Law Recorder of the said City and others their follows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to deliver the said Gaol of
Newgate of the prisoners therein being John Murphy< no role > This name instance is in set 1358. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients .
late of the parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden in the County
of Middlesex Labourer was in due form of Law
tried on a certain Indictment for that he on the Third day
of November in the twenty fourth year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third king of Great Britain & with
force and arms at the parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid
one Watch with a Case made of Metal of the Value of Ten Pound
one Steal Watch Chain of the Value of Three Shillings one
Brass Watch key of the value of Two pence and three Steel
Hooks of the Value of One penny of the Good and Chattels of
one Anthony Assereti< no role > from the person of the said Anthony
privity and without the knowledge of the said Anthony then
and there feloniously did steal take and carry away against
the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity
And thereupon by a certain Jury of the County between our
Sovereign Lord the King and the said John Murphy< no role > This name instance is in set 1358. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . in that
behalf duly taken was convicted of feloniously stealing, taking
and carrying away the Goods and Chattles in the said
Indictment mentioned but not privily from the person of the
said Anthony and was then and there Ordered and directed to be sent
and transported as soon as conveniently might be to since of his Majestys
Colonies and plantations in North America for the term of Seven
Years Dated the Sixteenth day of January 1784
