Middlesex


At a General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden
for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid
by adjournment on Thursday of Sixth day of April in the thirty first year of the reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc. Before Thomas Lane< no role >

Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to Keep the peace in the County aforesaid and [..]
to Hear and Determine Diverse Fellonies, Trespasses and other Misdeeds Committed in the
same County

Whereas the Church wardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Kensington in the
County of Middlesex have Exhibited their humble petition and Appeal unto this Court
Setting forth That by an Order or pass Warrand under the hand and Seal of William
Timbrell
< no role > Esqr. one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the said County of Middx
bearing date the twenty Ninth day of March last Robert Emmes< no role > was removed from
the parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the said County to the said parish of
Kensington as the place of the last Legall Settlement of the said Robert Emmes< no role >
Now upon Motion made unto this Court by Mr Lane of Councel for the Appellants
praying that the hearing of the said Appeal may be adjourned It is Ordered by
this Court that the hearing of the said Appeal be and the same is hereby
adjourned untill the next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the said
County And That the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
parish of Saint George Hanover Square upon Notice of this Order and all per [..]
discerned Do Attend the Court of the said next General Session of the peace to be holden
for the said County by adjournment on Thursday the Eleventh day of May next at
Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon to hear and abide theadjournmentJudgment and Determination
of the same Court touching the said Appeal
