The Informations of Samuel Bray< no role > of the Parish of St Margarets
Westmr . Farrier and Robert Cubbidge< no role > of the Parish of S [..]
in the Feilds in the said County Carver .

The Informant Robert Cubbidge< no role > sayeth that on Fryday the [..] teenth
of March last after John Dent< no role > This name instance is in set 2759. had received a wound from either William
Arch
< no role > , Jeremiah Tooley< no role > or John Clawson< no role > who assaulted the said John
Dent
< no role > with [..] atred Swords whilst he was in the aid of thesaidInformant
Samuel Bray< no role > who is a Constable of Westmr . she said William Arch< no role > made
after this Informant with his natred Bajonet whereupon be happned
to be taken into the Custody of the said Samuel Bray< no role > and him carried
before the Honble . George Watson< no role > Esqr one of her Majestyes Justices
of the Peace for the said County & Liberty. And These Informants
say that before the said Arch was brought before the said Justices
he confessed him self to be a Soldier and said his Colonel would
come tomorrow and fetch him off and the sd Arch seemed to make very [..] right
of the wounding the said John Dent< no role > tho it was told them that
the life of this said John Dent< no role > was dispaired of but when the said
Arch was before the said Justice of Peace and word was brought that
the said John Dent< no role > was dead the said Arch said he would in the
peach than be hanged and then told the names [..] of the two
other Persons that were in the abovementioned Assault Vizt. Tooley &
Clawson and that he and they had came off the Guard and did believe
they might now be found, and the said Arch further said Know
who gave the Stall I saw it done. And These Informants further
say that thereupon the said Justice of Peace did imediately Grant
his Warrants to apprehend the said Tooley & Clawson for the murder
aforesaid and advised me the said Constable to go to the Guard in order
to have this said Tooley & Clawson secured and delivered to [..] the
to Informant Samuel Bray< no role > And These Informants further say that
when Inquiry was made for the said Tooley & Clawson at the Gaurd
Roome [..] was told they were there and were then upon duty and
when the Captain was acquainted with what they had done and the
said Warrant shewed him the said Captain or Dere'd a Serjeant [..] with a good [..] of
Musketeers to go and secure the said Clawson and Tooley and [..] them
off their posts which was accordingly done and the said Captain [..] and
to secure them that night and deliver to them the next morning
