we must give her Something that Holden said
it should be equally dividedHiggins said he did
not care how it was and Holden said there will be
a Guinea and a half for you two, (meaning said
Grosse and Grace Mattocks< no role > as he believes
knowing they live together) and a Guinea and
a half for us two meaning himself and Higgins
That he this Examint. then put all said things
into the Bag again (except two Napkins
two or 3 Table Cloths and several small pieces of fine
Linen or Chintz which he consider'd of no
value) and brought it down Stairs and put it
into the Cupboard in the back Parlour, and
desired said Burket to take Care of it till
he fetched it.

That on Monday Morning the 26th: Novemr.
last he bought 3 Carpets and four Curtains now
produced of said Harding and said Vanes at
his own Shop for 3 Guineas.

That on Friday Evening last he was at said
Burket's when said Wm. Smith< no role > came into said
House with a Carpet in his Arms and ask'd him
if he would buy it, and this Examint. said yes.
That said Smith then said he would not sell it
till the others came and on being ask'd who
they were he said John Durham< no role > This name instance is in set 2660. and Billy the
Trap. That said last mentioned Persons came in
soon after and he bought the Carpet for 9/6
and paid the Money to said Durham, That
he put the Carpet upon the Chair and desired
said Charlotte Cooper< no role > to take Care of it, who
put it into the Cupboard
