Months, says that he hath not left his last Sewire
above a Fortnight, say, that he hath been with his
Mother [..] who is a Washer Woman at No. 11 in Larth Street
since out of place, and lodged there before ever since
his Father & Mother came to live then which is
about two years, says that he went Yesterday Evening
to drink with some people of his Trade at a public
House nearly facing Mr. Aldridge, Timber Yard in
Lory Lane, but what signthemit is he knows not
says he stay'd then till a little after 10 O'Clock in

one of the persons he had been drinking with in
order to sleep with him and his Wife at his Lodgings
at Hockley in the Hole , that his Wife being in Liquor
refused to permit him to sleep there, says that said
Ward then told him to go towards Black Boy Alley
and that he would then get a Lodgings says that
he accordingly went and got a lodging in the
House he was apprehended in, and paid there
pence for it, says that he never was in the
House before in his Life, says that when the
Constable [..] came into the House when
he was, he hid himself under the Stairs for
fear of being taken
