the Capital Messe in the sd Lres patent mentd consists of certain Roomscontains 93 rooms which are occasioned
in whichbythe Prisoners committed & detained in the Prison in the Custody of the sd John Eyles< no role >
as Warden are lodgedand out of the said Prisoners whowho severally and respectively pay to the John Eyles< no role > as Warden the weekly
sum of 1s/3dduring the time that any such Prisoner Lodger in any of the said house for each of the sd Rooms when occupied in the sd Priorfor each of the said
Rooms when occupied in the said Prison

That a certain other part of the sd. capital Messe used as a seperate dwelling
house for the residence of the sd John Eyles< no role > as Warden & occupied by him his Family or
Servants & which sd last mentd. part is of the yearly value of £40

That the present Warden and his late Father have constantly paid to the poors
Rate for the sd Prison at the rate of £300 per annumbutuntil within a few years
last pasteach rate amounted only to the quarterly sum of £6 13 9 and thatwhen upon the
raisens of the sd rate to the sum of £ [..] 400 the Warden first objected to the payment thereof

That the whole of the Capital Messe as well that part occupied by the
Prisoners as afsd as that other part occupied by the sd John Eyles< no role > his Family or Servants afsd
is generally rated in the afsd Assessment of the sd John Eyles< no role > was assessed thereto & in respect
thereof Wherefore the Court doth order that the sd rates so far as respects the several
Assessments above mentd. be & the same are hereby confirmed and that the appeal afsd bet
the same is hereby dismissed
