Who being upon Oath says that on Sunday afternoon the 5th..
of December instant he this Informant delivered to a person now
present who calls himself Chadwick Simpson< no role > a Paper Parcel
which as this Informant hath Sence been informed end [..]
One Bank Note of the Value of fifty Pounds and one Bank
Note of the value of ten Pounds and came from Portsmouth
to the Angel Inn in Wych Street aforesaid by the Portsmouth
Post Coach directed to Mr. Jefferies in Charles Street near
the Middlesex Hospital and desired him ti deliver it
to the said Mr. Jefferies immediately and further says that
he hath Since made strict Enquiry at the House of the said
Mr. Jefferies and finds that the said Parcel hath never
been delivered from which he doth verily believe that the
said Chadwick Simpson secreted and Stole the Same
